Airport transfers from faro Airport are increasingly popular with the tourist coming to the algarve, if you have ever booked a faro airport transfer before you would have seen that there is a wide variety of companies offering a wide range of prices, one of the best we have seen is ALGARVETAXI.COM they have a great selection of prices and really offer first class service with new vehicules and all fully air conditioned for the hot summer Algarve days, the most popular transfer from faro airport is the destination of Albufeira, ALGARVETAXI.COM offer this service for only 33 Euro’s for up to 4 people and 45 Euros’s for up to 8 People, so if you are holidaying in the Algarve Portugal do not hesitate to book with this small efficient company.

Algarvetaxi.com was voted the best quality and highly competitive pricing for the Algarve Portugal, after speaking to many clients who have used this service it was unanimous that no other company comes even close to these guys, they are expats, and all their other drivers speak perfect English.

Can anyone tell me some basic facts and general things like what each of these towns are like to see and explore (good bars / restaurants / things to see & do / nightlife ECT)
I'm really looking for a nice quiet (not dead)… place to unwind for a week between May and July so maybe there will be some sort of local festival on within these dates..?
Basically i will be landing at Faro and intend avoiding Albufeira this time as all the "touters" stopping me and trying to flog me stuff every time i was on the street got on my nerves and spoilt my time there
From Faro heading East i was thinking of Olhao….Fuseta (theres a national park..any good?)…Santa Luzia…and Tavira.
Heading West from Faro…Quarteira…Portimao..Lagos(Been there expensive) and Luz?
Please help and give good thought out answers.
10pts and a *Star* for best answer.
Thank you in advance.

technology or just sign. I have paid for the car in the uk and am picking the car up in Faro airport next saturday morning (9th August). I want to take out the excess insurance by credit card but being an old duffer have forgotten my pin!! i can call the card provider to send another one but am worried it might not come in time. If i dont have to use the pin all is fine (and i will have passport for proof of id). I dont need my card for anything else as I take cash. I am using Guerin car company via Carhire 3000 (UK)

Hi there!Me and my mate want a beach long weekend break and are considering those two locations. We want to avoid tacky places and generally the whole England transferred to a resort reality this is why we are going for Ibiza town instead of Saint Antonio. But we are also considering Algarve-Albufeira…Which of the two places would you recommend? In few words we want; a nice beach, nice scenery and good nightlife We don't want; a place where beans on toast will be available as part of the breakfast option

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I want to go away this summer, for a week in early June. We've been looking at Albufeira, but some people have told us it's too much like Benidorm and really tacky, whereas others loved it, so we're a bit confused!
Just to give you an idea of what we want:
1. Hot weather (around 27 degrees C maybe)
2. Good beaches
3. Good nightlife and restaurants
4. At least SOME opportunity to see the sights of a more authentic Portugal, away from the resort
5. Activities and day trips, like zoo, tours, theme park, etc
6. Busy but not absolutely rammed
7. Not full of 'rowdy, bald-headed, beer-bellied, trouble-making English tourists' (that's my boyfriend's input….)
So we just wondered if anyone has been there and if it sounds like a) the right destination for us and b) if we're going at the right time of year (in terms of weather and how busy it is)
Thanks so much!
xx Emmie
